| Hello there my friends. Well this is becoming a hectic month. First of all, Ian arrived. He had been communicating with two girls, Heny Suprapti and Yani. He intended to meet Heny in Jakarta for a couple of days and then travel to my home in Probolinggo where Yani would also travel to meet him. After that he wanted to meet some of the local girls before he made up his mind which one he wished to marry. Shortly before his arrival, he emailed me to tell me that he no longer wished to meet Yani. It appears that she was becoming extremely jealous that he was thinking of meeting other girls. So, I had to cancel her. He then informed me that he would feel more comfortable if I would travel to Jakarta and meet him with Heny. I had never done this before and my husband was not to happy about me leaving him for two days... (We hate to be apart from each other). However, we decided that, if this made our client, who was also becoming our friend less nervous, then that’s what I would do. At the same time, we had run into a little problem with Bill. He had been corresponding with Ismiati and was really beginning to feel close to her. My husband and I had met Ismiati and her mother and liked both of them. However, the girl then called Bill a few days before his arrival and informed him that it was her birthday in a couple of days. This was tantamount to asking for a gift which Bill, being a nice guy, offered to bring for her. Ismiati though was not satisfied with that but told Bill that she had seen a nice necklace for $100 that she wanted. Against our advice, Bill duly sent the money to her. After Bill arrived, Ismiati travelled to our home to meet him for a couple of days. After meeting her in Person, Bill wanted to marry her but she seemed more interested in pursuing a new job that she had been offered and told him that she would have to discuss it with her family first. She left telling Bill that she would give him an answer and, although she called him a few times never did tell him anything definite. I decided that she was just stringing him along so removed her from the site. I then introduced Bill to a young relative of mine called Puput who really wanted to marry him but her mother said that she was too young. Next we tried a local girl called Tina who is a friend of a friend and not at present on the website. He really liked her and offered to marry her to which she and her family agreed. Bill decided to travel with me to Jakarta where he could visit the US embassy and obtain a paper that he needed to marry here. While he was there, he got a call from Tina telling him that she wanted to wait so could not marry him yet. Bill took it fairly well. Maybe he was getting used to it! Upon our return to Surabaya, I introduced Bill to a Sari, a very good friend of mine. She liked him and came over the next day to visit us. For some reason, Bill didn’t want to settle down with her and she was very disappointed. Sari is a very quiet girl and I think this put Bill off a little. While all this was going on, Ian met and fell in love with Heny but felt that she was scared of him. She did not seem too keen on him after the meeting and wanted to think about it. Ian is a really nice friendly guy but he does look a little like a biker or gang member with his long hair, tattoos and earrings. He was quite sad but understood her reluctance. I had a long chat with Heny, explaining the different culture that Ian cam from. The next day, Heny called me back and told me that she did love him and wanted to marry him. Ian was elated! Heny decided to take a flight here to be with him so I also invited Susanti, another relative to travel with her to meet with Bill. He loved her immediately so now he and Ian are engaged and are having a combined wedding next week...WHEW!...All’s well that ends well. Until the next time.....Love...Yuyun |
